The Darkness from Within
Part 11:
"That's the only manuscript we have about how Lucifer rose and fell. There are others but this is the only one that makes sense. The others are in undefinable languages." she said rolling it up, "I will lend it to you,". The four had been slightly put out by this. It gave no inkling on where the seal was or what was even on it. Cloud picked it up anyway. The woman screamed.
"What's the time!" she begged, "Six thirty-five," Anjie said. "Run! Get out of here" she wailed falling, pushing the table on it's side shielding her from sight. Long groans and drawn out screams echoed around the darkness. She stood up. She wasn't human.
"Werewolf!" DJayye shouted picking up a dictionary and fending it off. "Move!" he shouted as the book was torn in two. Cloud ran forward with O.J Simpson's biography and smashed it over it's head. Blood soaked the book spelling out "I DID IT". The werewolf howled in agony as they fled.
Twisting and turning through the labyrinth of shelves they threw books at every sound. Upon taking a sharp corner they found themselves facing a black dog. It ran at the gap between DJayye & Vince from the rest who split from the group and were chased by the beast down into a corridor. Cloud and Anjie rushed forward only to find the doorway blocked with books. "Vince!" Anjie yelled kicking the pile, she turned for a back kick, "There's more!" Anjie yelled jumping from the pile into another corridor with Cloud beside her.
The torches that provided light flickered and then eased throwing them into darkness. "Great, just great," Cloud whispered, scratching noises met their ears as they hurtled down the corridor which was now dark. Cloud then was snatched from Anjie, "Oh god, oh god, i'm so screwed, oh god," Anjie repeated under her breath as she ran looking for a exit. She turned another corner and found lit torch. She grabbed it and ran back out. Six werewolves faced her.
Vince and DJayye kept on running, they knew that the bookcase had fallen but the werewolf was still behind them. Vince picked up a set of Twilight which the werewolf jumped away from. It slowly inched forward and ripped them apart. Before it knew they had a lead. But it quickly caught up. The beast now was biting at their heels, Vince caught it full in the face with a thesaurus when it leaped forward. They continued running. They then ran into the hall. Anjie was there faced by a pack of wolves. Vince and DJayye ran forward and grabbed weapons from sets of armor that lined the hall. They forced them back out. Cloud then ran into the hall. "Let's get the hell out of here," he said running towards the entrance.
The morning light fell on them. They were all bloody with cuts and bruises everywhere. "We've got to go tomorrow!" Vince said spiting out blood. "Oh we are so dead," Anjie wailed.
