The Darkness from Within
Part 8:
They followed her into the warm, dark secludes of the Library, meandering down the labyrinth of shelves, levels and sections before stopping in the lowest level possible. They could barely see each other until she lit all the gas lamps with a lazy wave of her arm. Their eyes swam as the light flickered and cast their heating rays around the pit. Cool marble floors with oak cabinets lined the walls. Each cabinet had scrolls of immense age. The heavy glass door reflected the light into their eyes as she floated about pulling out manuscript after manuscript until she had found several blue silk scrolls. She untied the red ribbons and flattened them upon the table. "Here is the only record of the Seal of Azkaban, the Rite of Darkness" she said pulling out the dirtiest of the eight scripts.
The silk was fine yet the handwriting rushed, messy as if the author had been desperate to write it down. Vince moved forward and read it out:
